On top of the 5-inch and 10-inch contour gauge, there's a built-in ruler that allows you to collect measurements in inches and millimeters. Every set also includes a convenient angle ruler tool, which provides you with another valuable measurement device in your toolbox.
Metal lock For Perfect Tracing
The first step to using the locking contour gauge is to loosen the pins using the hex keys (included). Next, you press the gauge up to the object that you're measuring or copying and use the metal locking lever to lock the shape in place. That's all there is to it.

Purchased to help with the measurements along the stone side of our fireplace. Installed shiplap for a weekend project. There were many different cuts that needed to be made and this allowed me move much faster.So easy my son ended up helping with the measurements. Came exactly as described and was very cost effective. Allows the user to fit the angle, then lock into place for the cut. Compared to other similar tools, was priced just right. Seems to be very durable as it’s made of a tough plastic.

Ive been laying tiles in my laundry room and had some strange angles and corners to deal with. This tool is great for marking those challenging areas and then transferring the angles onto the tiles, to cut properly.

For large objects these will be okay. (There are two in this box, one is 5" long and the other 10". Both marked in metric and ASE measure). If you need sharp, highly accurate profiles get a "needle gauge. Use care when trying to get a profile as the pins seem a bit brittle in really cold weather. None broke while I was using this. The locking mechanism is a great feature. I really like the angle ruler that came with it. Also marked in metric and ASE.

It works well and is fairly easy to use. The plastic material should last a lifetime and the teeth glide smoothly into place whether used for inside or outside corners, edges etc. The price is a little high for what it is but on the other hand it can save lot's of time so i may be worth it although I have only used it once since I bough it a few months ago so food for thought.

Of all similar products this one is of sturdy construction and being a bit weighty it doesn't slip when transferring the set profile onto a surface. The locking bar is a good solid design.

Simple to use and provides a smooth setting. I had an old metal one which this one replaced. The metal one rusted and was hard to set. This one won't rust and is easy to set and lock into place. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I have had several copying gauges but this is by far the best. Great value for money and easy to use, The locking function is rock solid.

It does work and I got the job done but not as easy as the video. Requires practice to use. Good quality.
