My dog likes to pretend she’s the neighborhood sheriff and has made it her full time occupation to patrol the windows at all costs. We had to replace 4 window sills when we sold our old house because she had damaged them beyond repair. For the new house I was looking into ways to reduce her destruction and found this recommend online and holy smokes am I glad I found it. Very easy to install, stays in place, and yes you can see plastic on your window sill but it’s very non offensive and I’d much rather see a slight plastic sheen than have my window sills destroyed.Interestingly enough, I think she doesn’t like how it feels on her paws and she’s stopped jumping on window sills entirely now.

My dog doesn't care that they're there which is good because I only bought enough for the middle of the windowsill. I thought she might move to the ends to avoid the plastic. But no, she's too focused on barking at passersby. We'll fix the sill and now they'll stay nice.

Our dog spends most of the day laying his head in the window sill. Sometimes he scratches the wood with his paws. This protects the wood and catches the drool. Not as wide as I needed but still works.

Initially, I was looking for the window sill guards because my cats are constantly jumping up and down to patrol the neighborhood. But most of them, including this 3 pcs set, are a little too wide for the window sills at my place. But I was also looking for something to seal off the big gap between the counter and fridge next to the stove, and those work perfectly there.I’m posting a photo, but I’m not even using the stickers that came with those protectors. I’m just placing two of those against the fridge. That works better because it’s close to the stove, and instead of wiping there after cooking, I can just take those two to the sink and wash, wipe and place them back there again. So much easier! I was thinking maybe I needed to get a tape or something, but this turns out to be definitely better.I’m placing the third one on the bar counter behind the stove. Again, I'm not even securing it with the adhesive stickers. And I really like it because it’s crystal clear so it’s unnoticeable.By the way, as window sill protectors, they look pretty durable, so I think those will last for a while. However, it will be super slippery for cats if they jump up there. My furry kids are getting older, and just like humans, they tend to get injured easily. So if you have older cats with arthritis and weak joints, you might want to have something, like non-slip stickers, on those for them to jump up and down securely without slipping through the screen.

While I measured the window sill, the contours along the face of my molding made the product unusable.... I returned the product. If you have moulding with water flat face, the product should work fine.
