This product works great. I used it on my drill to constantly slow down the speed to use it as a mixer for mixing leveling cement.

used it to control a 120v 1/4HP motor, motor had a surge current of 8A and a run current, under load, of 5A, control kept working , no issues.

Has an intuitive control with an On/Off switch and a knob controlled output with a digital voltage display. My wife uses the device to fine tune the wattage of her simple crock pot. That is she can go from "It's too Hot" to "It's just right!" So, if you need to reduce the voltage to an electrical device, this may be just what you need.One caveat, you need to start the output at Maximum (100%) and then reduce the level to your setpoint. Otherwise I would have selected 5 stars.

I like the extra control I have with my rotary tools by placing this in line with the foot pedal. It works great for added control when porting saws.

I know some folks liked this device and I based my purchase on that. But it just wouldn't work for me. I hooked it to a benchtop buffer to slow it down but the buffer wouldn't operate. It would spin up, but as soon as pressure was applied to the buffing wheels, it would just stop. So for that application it's not appropriate. I have to return it.

Was tired of burning wood with a fast router, this does a fine job of slowing it down to find that sweet spot. Also plan to slow down my grinder when needed. Would recommend
