Low Pressure Y-Stainer - Stainless Steel NPT Thread 800 PSI
The Y-Strainer functions as a mechanical filtration device, segregating solid particles and liquids from fluids while trapping debris to prevent pipeline equipment from detrimental effects of contaminants. The effectiveness of the Y-strainer relies on its mesh filter, which decides the size of particles permitted to pass through, preventing particles entering system. Y-strainer’s regular cleaning can be done by shutting down system and removing strainer cap to remove debris.

To install the Y-strainer, kindly refer to the steps below;
- Clear the installation area and ensure it's clean and free of debris.
- Identify the optimal location for the strainer in the pipeline. Ensure there is enough space around the strainer for maintenance and cleaning.
- Apply pipe thread sealant or thread tape to the male threads of the strainer and any pipe fittings to prevent leaks.
- Thread the Y-strainer onto the pipe, ensuring it is securely tightened. Use wrenches to tighten the connections, but avoid over-tightening, which could damage the strainer or fittings.
- Verify that the strainer is properly aligned with the pipeline and is not under any stress or strain, check for any leaks.
