I just purchased a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse 3 days ago and I absolutely hate the auto stop start. I purchased this because it shows it works for the Chevrolet Traverse. It took me 5 minutes to install it and it works perfectly. This is a wiring harness that goes in-line with the hood latch sensor. The auto stop start is completely disabled with no errors and the hood sensor is still fully functional. Even if the vehicle had a button to disable the auto stop start (which it does not) I would've preferred this anyways because you don't have to hit that button everytime you restart the car. There's not many options as it's between this $15 wiring harness or the $230 RANGE OBD II module so this was obviously the clear choiceAdded photos for the install on the Chevrolet Traverse.

Best money I’ve ever spent to eliminate a dumb idea. If only I had found this 5 years ago. Would have saved me from all the bypass ideas I tried to eliminate auto start stop. I competed yearly with the traverse to beat the ridiculous auto stop feature. I lost every time till……now! I have slayed the engineers and their billion dollar companies with a $15 harness. Currently I sit at stop signs, green lights, and just idle for hours on end, to burn fuel that I paid for, because….. I want to. It took 38 seconds to install this. Unplug the hood release harness, plug it into the new harness and plug that into the hood release.It works so well, I am going to purchase dozens to hand out on Christmas, to strangers, at intersections, when I hear their traverse shut off.

My wife's 2020 GMC Terrain doesn't have a button to turn off auto stop start like most cars have. It is too quick to turn off and is often a problem at roundabouts because it shuts off too fast.The install was pretty easy. I had some trouble figuring out how to remove the clip of the original connection, but watched a video and got it.In the 4 months I've had this installed, there hasn't been any problems. No more start stop, no check engine lights, nothing.

2021 Equinox. Simply unplug the existing connector and add the new harness inline to the connectors. Works perfect, no codes, no more auto stop.

I hated the auto stop and start, and was tired of having to shift into manual every single time. Now I simply put my car in drive! I was worried that a check engine light would appear but I am happy to report that no pesky lights have turned on.
