Brass 230 wires meets ASTM B134 and is made of 85% COPPER and 15% ZINC. It is quite ductile in the annealed condition and can be appreciably hardened by cold work. It may be work hardened to a spring temper and has approximately 37% of the conductivity of copper in the annealed condition. It has good resistance to fresh and seawater and is not prone to dezincification. Uses include heat exchanger components, fasteners, architectural and ornamental applications.
