Stays where you put it, that's what you want right? I had to rebuy this one because I got the 7mm and the phone holder combo, (ball was in the dash already), and the phone sat too high. This dropped it down right into the sweet spot. I will use the 7 mill arm on my wife's cell.

I was looking for a mounting system that stayed in place and was not affected by the southern heat. This had done just that. As I travel the Midwest and east coast, the road vibrations do not affect the position at all. Lock it in place and it stays.
