Butterfly’s Free Chack II Table Tennis Racket Glue is a newly formulated, water-based adhesive designed to help you assemble your table tennis rubber to the wooden blade. The Free Chack II is specifically designed for Butterfly’s Spring Sponge and Spring Sponge X rubbers, which includes the Dignics, Tenergy, and Spin Art model lines. Spring Sponge rubbers provide table tennis players the sense of “catching” balls. Like a spring coil, the Spring Sponge absorbs the incoming energy of the ball and releases it as additional power for the player’s own shot. Rubbers with Spring Sponge technology enable shots with high amounts of spin. Furthermore, the Free Chack II allows easy removal of excess glue from the sponge and blade surface when players want to switch out rubbers. Free Chack II provides a stronger bond than regular Free Chack glue does and it is very easy to use! Simply apply the glue evenly on the blade and on the back of the rubber sheet. When the glue dries clear, apply the rubber to the blade. Gently press and roll the rubber on the blade. Finally, cut the excess rubber around the edges of the racket. You now have assembled your very own table tennis racket!

I could tell that my rubbers stuck to the blade much more firmly after I started using this glue. Compared to the original version, the bond is stronger, which gives me confidence when playing fast-paced games and the last thing I want to worry about is my rubber coming off. One major benefit of the adhesive is that it dries clear, and it is easy to apply uniformly. To achieve a clean, bubble-free finish, I've discovered that using a roller to push the rubber onto the blade works well.To me, one of the most notable aspects is how simple it is to get rid of extra glue from the sponge and the blade. This glue does not leave a sticky residue that needs to be removed with scraping or solvents, in contrast to some other glues I've used in the past. Performance is noticeably improved, and even after several rigorous sessions, the rubber still holds onto the blade. It's also handy to have the choice of different sizes, though I think the mid-sized bottle is the ideal amount for regular use without running out too soon.If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be the drying time. While it’s not excessively long, I’ve found that you need to be patient and wait until the glue dries completely before attaching the rubber to the blade. Rushing this step can lead to a less secure bond. It’s a small price to pay for the strong bond it provides, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re in a hurry. The performance and ease of use make it well worth the purchase, even with the little annoyance of the drying time. This adhesive must be a staple in your supply if you take table tennis seriously.

Bought the 20ml tube on Friday 2/23/2024, received Sunday 2/25/2024, tube of glue was completely cured and thus non-functional. It was sealed properly in the package. Tried to squeeze, tried to poke a sharp bamboo stick into the tube, but nothing doing. Requested a replacement product, received yesterday, same issue, completely defective. Had to argue with Amazon rep to get a full refund. Butterfly is a great company, so do not know if this is age or warehousing issue.Product Bar Code 4 906901 133662Other Codes from the packaging (I don't speak Japanese so I don't know exactly what these represent)74860-000-0-1060120-600-731359-0005

There is a reason this is considered to be the industry standard glue for ping pong rubbers and thats because it is. Worked great and I love the feel of my paddle after using it.

Having tried several types of TT glue, I keep coming back to Butterfly’s Free Chack II, cos it’s just superior. Love that it dries super fast, and forms a great seal between the rubber and the blade, and doesn’t leave any residue when removed.I use it almost exclusively now.
