For the price, ease of use, and safely compressing coil springs this tool can’t be beat. The clamps held firmly and the screw mechanisms worked quite well with my battery powered impact. Probably would even stand up to professional use. Awesome tool!

I havnt had the chance to use this compressor yet. I used one identical to this one a few weeks ago that I was loaned to from oriellys. Worked flawlessly. Harbor freight has an exact one, it’s almost $20 more.

The other reviews are correct about the pins not locking. Which is ridiculous because drilling an oversized hole is easily preventable. But if you pay attention to keeping the pins locked it’s otherwise safe and the threads seem solid. Only used on a passenger car so can’t comment on heavier duty springs that might stress it further.

I used these to upgrade the shocks on my Bronco. They handled the job well. As others have said when using them on truck and suv springs they do bend slightly. I was still not afraid that they were going to slip.

I bought is as new but came as used and the case is broken. I haven’t used them but I’m pretty sure they’re okay

I was getting ready to install new springs in my Jeep TJ and thought I'd buy this tool just in case. Of course If I didn't use the tool I'd return it. Holy crap, this spring compressor is a life and game changer. And yes, I'm keeping the tool

They work great even under high pressure from a large suv/truck spring to do a lift. I Lifted my jeep wrangler.Only complaint is the instructions need more detail, had to use common sense on where the different size bolts go to have a good thread count. Other than that it worked like it was intended for.Tip: I ended up using an impact gun to compress and decompress the tensioner. Manually with a socket wrench is painfully slow.
