Here, the languid, stylized statue trio encircles an exquisite architectural pedestal urn, hair and garments flowing in a dance of pleasure. This sophisticated statue sends the message that you take the exterior of your home every bit as seriously as the interior. 2 pcs. 18"Wx18"Dx35"H. 22 lbs.

I use it to hold a large bougainvillea basket and it never fails to get compliments. It's striking. Looks heavier than it really is, and, oh, while I don't think the ad description mentions it, there is also a fourth figure carved into the base: an enraged Dionysus on the back, who looks markedly less lovely than the maidens. Prices fluctuate, but the Amazon price when I bought it was around half (or even less) of what other big sellers asked for the same exact piece. All in all, a good buy.

This Toscano “Column of the Maenads†Pedestal is just divine. Very beautiful and, may I say, statuesque:) It’s not big and tacky in the least. While the quality is not extremely strong, it’s well done. Small, rare defects, such as chips, aren’t visible. The hand painted faux stone looks genuine.A (omitted from photo) thinner “creepy old man†Dionysus/Bacchus figure with long grapevines + lion stands hidden between his fun loving maenads. This guy doesn’t sound appealing, however looks quite good in its setting. While the faces and other aspects have that very classic grecian look, the women’s bodies are very elongated, especially the legs, feet and hands. Though this could all be due to perspective and what they appear like at a certain angle.Pedestal includes a sheet on “Winter Care.â€The entire thing is much lighter than it looks, especially the bowl -which is actually a good sized depth. Made of two parts -the base and bowl. The bowl is inserted into a fitted notched square on top of the base, then rotate to “lock.†I’d still be careful not to lift by it though.I’m not familiar with pricing on this type of item so can’t comment on value, but highly recommend this graceful and handsome pedestal. Functional as a bird bath and the bowl is deep enough for a large decorative plant or even to directly plant in (except for lack of drainage). Until winter is over I may just keep it in my “lady room†to drape scarfs and hold gloves, hats, other accessories. When spring comes though, this is definitely going out in the garden.Took me a minute, but I’m in love now!I know my reviews are long, but if you’ve gotten this far, Thank You for reading and I hope some of this info has helped make your shopping decisions easier.

This is a very pretty statue. It really stands out. It looks very nice, like something you would see at a professional place. It seems to be very well made. We have it outside, but under something. So far it has held up fine. There are many thing you can do with it... put a plant in it or use it as a bird feeder. It is a nice height. It was easy to put together. It it very unique. I like it and would recommend it.

I was very nervous that this thing was going to weigh 12,000 pounds, but it's actually a very firm, heavy-duty plaster that looks like stone but weighs significantly less. It is still heavy enough to withstand some pretty strong winds and stay up on its own out in the yard, it's very substantial. It looks like a stone sculpture though, especially from a comfortable distance. The bowl part is separate from the stand, but they lock together so it won't wobble. Adds a really nice touch to a very lame corner of my yard!I just wish it had a little drain for when the water gets kind of gross. So far the birds are not terribly interested in it, but I'm hoping it will be a nice refuge for them next summer. I'm also hoping the bees will dip in there for a little drink and stop drowning in my pool! Being in central AZ, it'll probably all just evaporate anyway, but I still think it's going to get kind of gross eventually & I wish it were easier to drain.
