This works as expected. I used it to program a Whelen MPC01 controller that uses serial communications. The blue wire goes to tx+ and the grey to tx-. also, ground on the usb to 12v-. I used the included CD to install the driver onto a Windows 7 laptop and it worked great.

I was on a job site and my old RS-485 converter went bad. I ordered this as a quick replacement and it worked flawlessly. It is still in my travel tool bag.

So, it's a cheap, little, (485/422) serial-to-usb converter. It might even be opto-isolated. I like how you can look inside the housing! It has power, TX and RX red LED's.Using Modbus Poll, I was able to have this thing zipping along at 9600 bps in no time.This is NOT for RS-232, which I don't need for my purposes.I do think it's a wee bit cheaply constructed. I fear the clear casing is going to crack open inside my messy toolbag, so I'll put it in it's shipping box first. Also, the terminal block is not removable, so, don't trip on that modbus wire! The terminal block also seems like it'll age real fast, especially if you over-tighten the screws. IDK, I have a feeling it's going to fail one day. Other than that, it's WAY more portable than my other clunky adapter.

Worked out of the box. I was able to characterize a poorly documented ModBus relay module without the added complexity of solving the RS485 interfacing.Windows 10 found the necessary driver automatically.

Lo ocupaba para realizar una comunicación entre un VFD a mi PC de USB a RS422 y funciona muy bien, además me salio un imprevisto con un servo y también me sirvió para realizar la comunicación ahora de USB a RS485.Nota: Además es muy pequeño y tiene la descripción muy bien detallada, además se siente de buena calidad.

La livraison a été rapide, 72h pour la Belgique. Et l'article est conforme à la description.Suite à des soucis pour configurer mon onduleur solaire en Wifi, j'ai utilisé cette interface pour connecter l'appareil à mon PC via le RS485. Cela fonctionne très bien, la communication est bien passée, même sans connecter le blindage de la paire torsadée. Pas eu besoin des drivers du fabricant, Win10 a reconnu et installé lui-même la dernière version FTDI.Très satisfaite de l'achat, et maintenant j'ai un onduleur qui produit enfin :-)
