This is a great caliper. It will be my first and only. I use it on my telemetry unit all the time, its sleek, has a clip for my pocket, and can be adjusted. It also has enough resistance to its movement that it wont open/close as you move to measure. Was recommended to me by another nurse on my floor, and I would do the same for others.

Good set of calipers needed them for a few classes l. The points are sharp and don’t slip while using them. The arms stay fixed in the set position and do not move once in place quality set at a good price

I think I got this for $8, and it was one of the best purchases for my medicine clerkship and related electives. Extremely useful to have calipers on the floors, and you would be surprised how often you are the only one with calipers in your pocket. For the price, these are very good. The needles are fine to allow precision, and the caliper is stiff so it doesn't slip as you march out P waves and such. However, the caliper loosens up with light use and requires frequent tightening of the screws pictured under the knob. If you are aspiring to be a cardiologist, or have extra money to burn, I would invest in calipers that lock.

The qualilty of the caliper is excellent. It is a sturdy feeling caliper, whereas some of the calipers I have seen are quite flimsy. I bought two pairs and gave one to my fellow Physician Assistant. We monitor Stress Tests at a leading Cardiovascular Hospital and also do the interpretations, so we use these on a daily basis. We are very pleased with the purchase.Jeff Janikowski, PA-C

They work very good. I did think this model locked due to the ball on top but it does not, however, it still works great and doesn't move when measuring.
