I got the 16 pack of blocks and the actual dimensions are 1†x 1†x 6†each. The box indicates the same. These blocks are nearly perfect. I found very small knots on two blocks. All the rest had a nice grain and no knots.I am new to the hobby, so this will give me plenty of blocks to hone my skills.

This set of wood blocks is great for someone who is just starting out and Wood whittling. The material is very forgiving and easy to work with. They are quite small blocks, but that is great for someone who is just starting out and not doing large projects or really concentrating on much detail. They would even be great for someone who has been whittling for a long time and looking to purpose these for small projects.

These blocks are small but the wood is perfect for carving. It's soft and smooth. I've had no splintering at all. It's a really nice soft but solid good quality bass wood. Looking forward to finishing my cartoonish gators.
