I tried all the tricks I could find online to try to get this to work, but it did not.As a warning, if you do not successfully bind two new keys to the car, it will remain in key binding mode, and any new blank key can be bound without the other key being present. I was unable to fully exit binding mode. I could exit it temporarily to drive around, but the next time I got into the car it would want to bind. As soon as I got a genuine key I got into the car and bound the new key in seconds, with my other functioning key over 60ft away.

I got used 2019 Chevy Bolt and wanted to get a second keyfob. One of my friends gave me his keyfob as his car was totaled. I tried to register it and it was a big mistake, ended up triggering the theft deterrent mode on the bolt. Apparently a used keyfob cannot be reprogrammed without erasing the keyfob itself. Anyway, wanted to try this out, worst case I would return it. On and behold it worked like charm. The key is read the Bold owner's manual carefully and follow the steps. Also if the key does not register the first time try rotating it 90 degrees. Very happy with the purchase. Will be ordering another one so that I can lockup the original keyfobs and continue to use the knockoffs.

Froze my 2019 BOLT.... If you don't have the OEM replacement fob I would make damn sure that your have a pro locksmith with all the good OBD computer stuff that will unlock your car... Don't try this key for a BOLT...Bad Bad news...like tow your car t the dealer then wait a bunch of days until they have time for you bad news

it is not compatible with chevy boltI tried new batteries and tried to program that more than 12 timesit is a fake item as you can see in the picture it do not have FCC codesitem it self come in a very bad package looks usedbattery voltage was around 2.9 volts so I used a new battery
