The LED works great - the remote also works just fine. My light is about 1.5 feet deep in the pool, and I can easily turn it on/off from inside the house 20 feet away. The colors are great, but the red colors don't travel as far - not a fault of the light, but that's due to the fact that it is a longer wavelength than other colors, and as such, doesn't travel through water as easily. The white, blue, cyan, purple, green colors are all great.

I read all the reviews about the useless remote. They were right until ... I need to remove the light due to flicker. The bulb socket came loose from the weight of the new LED. I used marine sealant to re-secure and while doing so I noticed that there is a black wire not connected to anything. I realize that this is the antenna for the remote. It pulled out about 3 inches. Suddenly the remote worked great. I resealed the light, inserted into the wall of the pool and my remote now works. I still need to kneel and be right above the water where the light is is, but no more rapid fire on my light on off switch. Just an FYI for others who's remote isn't working

The light rotates colors as noted, however, the remote control has no effect on the light. Be careful when considering buying this light, because you may end up like me, with no way to make any changes to the light, because the remote control does not work as expected/advertised.

I was a bit skeptical when I bought this bulb. After I purchased it, I realized there are brighter LED lights out there. But the description said “equivalent to 500W bulbâ€, which was what my original bulb was. The installation went exactly as directed. Then I turned the light on and my worries were over. It was just as bright as the old 500W incandescent bulb had been! Our pool is 40x20 ft. It lit most of the pool very brightly. (Just as much as the old light) The kids loved the colors! Then I tried the remote. It just wouldn’t work. I followed the directions provided. It Just didn’t control the lights. BUT turning on and off the power switch changed the color patterns . That was fine by me.I went back inside and started reading the manual again. The remote couldn’t communicate with the light. So, I re-read the info provided on Amazon. THAT did it for me. There was a brief mention in the product description about “aiming the remote at the bulb OR at the switch. I took it back outside and aimed it at my pool board, where the switch resides. IT WORKED!Bottom line, I gave this only 4 stars because the directions should have been much clearer. Other than that … the light works great.

Very pleased with these lights. I have two and the remote control of one will work with both to change the colors. Very pretty and happy with this purchase.

Very impressive with this light although the red color is pretty dull; however, the other colors work great! With pool lights, I've found that alot of people tend to have issues with the LED failing after a few months is most likely because water gets into the enclosure, therefore it's essential that you ensure there's a tight seal with a new gasket protecting the lamp.Also, the remote worked just fine for me!

The easy installment was amazing , pool is not finished yet but I completed the installation into the fixture and it works fabulously . I highly recommend this to anyone looking to add some pizzazz to standard inground pool .The assortment of optional features will always give you something to enhance your pool time fun. And the remote let's you make changes from anywhere .
