This is an extraordinary item, something that I did not even know existed until I accidentally found it on Amazon. The window shown in the picture has a broken piece of hardware that cannot be replaced. A new window seemed the only option. Lock it Block It is the perfect solution. Clear directions, easy to use, perfect fit, and an added bonus of additional security. I am VERY PLEASED!

I purchased this as I love having my windows open during the day, and night, but where I am renting they don't have locks that allow you to only open it a few inches. I wanted to be able to leave them open while still feeling safe. These are everything I could have asked for and more. I was worried about a few of the reviews saying the sticky tape wore down and it rendered them useless, but what I think they did was only use one of the tapes given. You need to use all of the tape - three for each item! They will NOT move at all once you do that. I've been able to have my windows open throughout the day and night, get some fresh air blowing through, without the worry of someone breaking in. I didn't really want to spend the money initially, but these are well worth the price. Piece of mind is priceless, safety is priceless. This company seems to be high quality and I'm thankful for my purchase. 10/10!

DON'T.When you press the sides, it will bend in. The adjusting plastic pins are too easy to push, so if a burglar can get a long metal wire inside the opened window and reach the pins, it could be opened. YES, IT IS UNSAFE!In the demonstration, the dude just bangs the window up and down like a fool. In reality, thieves can stand on the outside and deadlift the window open, causing this silly plastic stick to bend and fall out.On the actual box, it doesn't say PREVENTS, but says "it is intended to help deter intruders from entering your home. It says "helping to stop criminals from breaking in", but it doesn't say IT PREVENTS. This description is the equivalent of a rape whistle possibly scaring a rapist. Nothing funny when it fails to "deter" a thief, and you hear a snapping sound as someone forces their way into your house.
