One of my cats needed ear surgery due to blood sacs accumulating un the lobe. The vet gave me a hard plastic cone for him. It was horrible seeing his suffer wearing that "torture" chamber. I spent hours searching for a more comfortable and suitable 'crown" for my baby. This one fits the bill as it protects him from scratching at the stitches in his ear, which was the most important aspect of getting a new "crown." He is so much more comfortable and is able to eat and drink without problems. It is made well, and the price was unbelievably reasonably priced, which I was grateful for as vet bills amounted to over $1500.00. I highly recommend this product. The picture shows my Purcie enjoying a meal without help needed while wearing this device.

This is definitely a great option for a soft collar, but maybe not for very active animals. Our cat was 8mo old when she got spayed and the hard collar was too much. I ordered this in advance, and liked it for the most part. The clear window makes it easier for them to see, but with a caveat. The collar spins easily, and the solid portion ends up under their chin quickly, and cuts their eyeline below them. My cat did NOT like that, but it was a good option while the hair that bound up in her sutures from her surgical onesie broke loose, it was fine. She did manage to flip the collar inward against herself once overnight, and once while we were watching her, which is why I say it may not be good for more active animals (thankfully she couldn't have cared less about the sutures until it there were two days before getting them removed).

This is the 4th that I’ve tried and I’m so excited to finally find something that’s clear so he can see but also soft so that it’s comfortable. He seems to be much less stressed and doesn’t try to shake out of this one. Definitely satisfiedUpdate : only downside of this is that when he drinks water the soft cotton on the rim of the cone gets soaked, if he gets in the litter box after.. completely sticks to it. So I’ve had to take it off and wash it quite a few times already, though I’m trying my best to keep it from happening

The idea is nice I'm theory, but it is not executed well. The base of the cone gets fairly narrow, even if the Velcro isn't fastened 100%. So, it rubs on my cat's ears and he is annoyed with how heavy the cone is. Plus, since the plastic is malleable, it is bend in a weird way that disorients my cat probably because of the way the lighting plays off the shiny plastic.Had to return this and go with something more lightweight and wide at the base of the cone (to clarify: I don't mean a bigger size, I mean the space around my cat's neck and head inside the cone).

My Rockie is old. His vision isn't so good and I utterly HATED the thought of a cone. But he desperately needed one because his wound was on his face and he scratched it open badly. After nervously searching through them, I found this one, and I am ABSOLUTELY So HAPPY with it! The part around the neck is soft. The see through part is light and flexable (plastic/vinyl?) and it goes up high enough that he still scratches at it but the wound is protected! He has no trouble eating, drinking or sleeping with it, like I was worried about; and actually, I feel no remorse whatsoever when I see him wearing it! Thank you so very much for considering a Furbabies point of view!!

This has been so much more comfortable for my kitten who had to have her eye sewn shut. 😥 This cone allows her to see better out of her only eye. It also doesn't get wet when she drinks out of her water dish. Thanks so much!

was looking for a comfy e-collar for my sphynx kitten prior to his neutering, and though he hated this, he doesn't know how good he had it compared to what otherwise would have been.it fit securely, offered him more peripheral vision than otherwise, allowed him room to eat, and wasn't too difficult for him to work around when using the litter box.downsides: cloth part isn't easy to clean (at least when it comes to sphynx oils and food mishaps), and the velcro part would NOT stay at the back of his neck, instead rolling around to under his chin, ultimately limiting his vision more than it would have otherwise and chafing under his neck.for a regular hairy kitty, though, this would work well!

This is for my normally very docile orange boy who turns into a hissing monster each time I try to clip his nails. I had to add this cone in addition to the canvas bag he goes in. The little demon lol. Anyway-it works! He can’t bite me.
