This is my second time purchasing the cabin air filter for my 2009 VW Rabbit 2.5, and it's still the same high-quality product, made in Germany. It should also fit most VW MK5 models. I was surprised by how much debris had accumulated when I removed the old filter. Installation is straightforward and only takes about 10 minutes if you're familiar with the process. The package even includes printed instructions. Replacing the filter every other oil change (around every 10,000 miles) is a good practice to ensure clean, odor-free air inside the car.

I purchased my first MANN Cabin filter 5 years ago and drove almost 120,000 miles with it. Upon removal, IT was filthy on the filter side, and clean on the out-flow side.FIVE years of use, ...and while I don't recommend it, I was pretty impressed with its performance, as it still allowed good air flow, even with all the dust and debris that were stuck on it. This filter can be removed for dusting off and/or cleaning, maybe every 6 months to shake or vacuum the dust and debris off, which would help it keep going even longer IMO.Carbon Impregnated fibers, nothing fancy, it just works.I can recommend this wholeheartedly.

I just installed this since my 2013 VW TIguan hit 70000 miles and I saw that it was recommended by VW. When you install it, just remember to find the YouTube video that is for your exact year and model. I saw a few that were for older/newer Tiguans or other "similar" VW"s and some had be going in through either the glove box or the engine near the firewall. Turns out, my model had it near the fee on the passenger side. The big tip here is that you will want to pull on the existing plastic cap that holds-in this filter but resist that and simply slide it to the right. You're welcome! I nearly broke the darn thing off. :)
