It appears to work just fine. No complaints. I have not compared it to the OEM accessory.

I had really high hopes for this battery grip. Neewer rarely has given me issues, and I expected this grip to just work, but it messed up right in the middle of an event, causing the camera to cycle power off and on over and over again. I quickly stripped the grip off, and configured it back to it's original state to finish the event, but I know I missed photos because of this. I'll say this - for battery grips, just get the OEM grips. I've tried several through the years, and never have issues with OEM like I do with the aftermarket ones.

I recently added the NEEWER MB-N12 Replacement Vertical Battery Grip to my Nikon Z8, and it has been a great addition to my setup. Priced at around $110, it's a worthwhile investment, especially with the $20 coupon currently on offer (which I didn’t get to use). This battery grip is easy to hold and provides a firm, ergonomic grasp for vertical shooting. It significantly prolongs the battery life by allowing the use of two EN-EL15c batteries. I appreciate the hot-swappable feature, which lets me replace one battery without turning off the camera, ensuring uninterrupted shooting. The grip retains all main functions, including the shutter release button, command dials, AF ON button, and multi-selector, making vertical shooting as smooth as horizontal. The 1/4" tripod socket is also very handy for connecting to tripods and other camera supports.Overall, the NEEWER MB-N12 is a reliable and efficient accessory for my Nikon Z8, enhancing both functionality and convenience during extended shoots. An STG Synergies BTN Enterprises Review!

Bought this for my wife so she could trial the grip for a discount price. Fit and finish is great. Initial impressions were good. As time has passed and the grip has been used, the chinks in the armor have been revealed. The body of the z8 now seems to recognize a non-nikon accessory. As such, the communication between body and grip is flawed, resulting in non-power up situations (ie: turn camera on, but the menu screen shows it being off). There's plenty more challenges with this grip, but generally speaking, if you own a z8, then you're likely willing to spend the money on the OEM part rather than this.As an introduction to a camera body grip attachment (to decide if you like it), this is a fantastic optionFor regular shooters who need reliability, this is NOT the final grip you'll buy. After missing shots, needing to restart the camera, or...or...or...You'll end up buying the Nikon version if you like grips

I was never a fan of the Nikon battery grip for the Z8. It always looked wrong to me. For whatever reason, this Neewer version of the battery grip just looks a bit better. It has all the functions that the Nikon version has and everything works as expected. The quality of the grip is a major step up from the old Neewer battery grips that I had for my older Nikon d5600. The texture is almost matched well to the Z8 and overall feels great in the hands. There is a noticeable tactile difference in the buttons when compared to the Z8 but it still does not feel cheap. Overall, it is an amazing value and very useful.

I recently bought my Z8, and i wanted to get a battery grip for it. This one not only works perfectly, but it kinda turns your Z8 into a Z9 at a fraction of the cost. I used to own the Z9 but sold it to get my Z8, which is basically the same minus the extra size and weight. This grip accommodates two batteries and adds the vertical grip buttons. Everything works fine, and the camera feels robust and sturdier. I do recommend this grip if you need or want one.

I was reluctant to purchase an aftermarket grip for my Z8.. Although I have purchased many aftermarket grips in the past, my experience was always disappointing. Fit, finish and feel always took a back seat to the Nikon OEM branded gear..... I own the Factory version for my Z6iii and had the Factory MB grip for my Z6ii. Anyway the pricing on the Neewer was too good to pass up. So to my surprise on arrival Iwas thoroughly impressed with the fit, finish, performance and even feel.... If you removed the Neewer Logo on the bottom, I'd be hard pressed to know it wasn't the Nikon MB.Highly recommended

Very prompt service and resolution, when an issue with the unit was brought to their notice. Neewer and Amazon are incredibly good.
