About this item

  • LIGHTWEIGHT AND COMPACT: The Jetpack weighs only 6.25 lbs (2.8 kg) on its own, and the BC/backpack combo weighs 8.25 lbs (3.75 kg). This makes it ideal for travel, as it helps you stay under airline weight limits.
  • LARGE CAPACITY: The 42-liter backpack in the Oceanic Jetpack system is roomy enough to fit all your scuba diving equipment and still have space left for your clothes and other travel essentials, making it a convenient option for dive trips.
  • SEMI-DRY CONSTRUCTION: The backpack is splashproof, good for light rain and keeping your gear dry from minor water splashes. But remember, it's not meant for underwater use and will not keep your gear dry if submerged.
  • ADJUSTABLE BC: The BC is fully adjustable to ensure a comfortable fit. It provides 30 lbs (13.6 kg) of lift and has a 14 lbs (6.3 kg) releasable weight system.
  • TRIM WEIGHT POCKETS: The BC offers additional customization with optional trim weight pockets that attach to your scuba tank straps. These pockets can hold up to 10 lbs (4.5 kg) of weight, allowing you to fine-tune your buoyancy for a more comfortable and balanced dive.

The Oceanic Jetpack eliminates the struggle of lugging separate bulky BCs and dive bags. This innovative system combines a BC (Buoyancy Compensator) with a spacious 42-liter backpack, creating a single, carry-on friendly package. Imagine effortlessly managing airline weight restrictions with the Jetpack's featherweight design - the entire BC/backpack combo weighs a mere 8.25 lbs (3.75 kg). But the magic doesn't stop there. This all-in-one marvel offers enough space to pack a complete set of dive gear along with clothes and travel essentials, essentially turning it into a one-bag solution for week-long adventures. Comfort is also prioritized - the BC is fully adjustable for various body types, and the backpack boasts padded straps for effortless carrying. While the Jetpack might have limitations for cold dives due to buoyancy capacity and may lack some features of advanced BCDs, its focus on portability and convenience makes it a perfect choice for frequent travelers who value streamlined packing and a hassle-free travel experience.

Awesome TRAVEL Kit. If you're looking for a heavy duty multi use rig, this probably isnt for you. However, for traveling, you really can't beat it. The BCD and attached bag are pretty light, you can fit your whole system inside of the 42L bag, if you have more than a 3mm wetsuit it will fit very well between the BCD and Bag, and you'll still have room for everything you need for a short trip!Just keep in mind, the waistbelt is removable and has velcro sections, so figure out where you need it before you're on the boat.If I'm going to change anything, I'll put on a longer inflater hose and a retaining loop for it.

Amazing alternative to travel BCD’s. It has become my go-to carry on for any trip that may have diving. The detachable backpack makes a great day bag as well

Not only is this BCD made great, the idea of it is what gets me. I used to have to drag along a big Ole dive bag filled with gear plus another bag, now all I have to do is bring this one item and it carries everything I need. I’ve clearing bought some extra items to make up for the lack of pockets but I prefer the option of getting rid of all the extra stuff in the case I wanted to be very slick.

Took this on 1 trip so far. Packed my whole setup including some entry level macro equipment, go pro and wetsuit. Im a tall guy at 6'3". My xl scubapro go fins were just a little too long, and the shoulder strap padding slipped out of the stow pockets regularly after adjusting for my height. The detachable backpack is great for the things you don't want to leave in a locker or just for beach or exploration time after diving.

Both my spouse and I use the Jetpack BCD and backpacks for dive trips and Wwe love them. We have mostly used them for weekend dive trips in the keys and Caribbean islands. Using the Jetpack system we can pack clothes and dive gear and carry it ALL on the plane. To add to the portability and ease we also added air links.

This is a great piece of kit for a local weekend dive excursion. If you are planning on using it to carry your gear onto flights, I would advise against it. The overall kit, when stocked with a full wet suit, BCD, regulator (1st and 2nd stage), computer, fins, snorkel, mask, etc... will not fit in many of the overhead storage compartments and will undoubtedly be checked when flying on smaller aircraft. Without protection provided by hard shelled luggage you may find your BCD or other diving equipment damaged in transit.
