Soft and large enough for cheese making. Soft yet durable and so easy to wash. I wash mine by hand. Great value with two and no worries to go but more cheese cloth

I've been making nut milk for over 25 years and have used every kind of nut milk bag. I've also been making vegan yogurt and straining it to make cheese with those bags.These cloths are a huge improvement, a real game-changer. They are super easy to clean and the perfect size. They also cut down on wastage when straining the yogurt. When using a nut milk bag, a lot of the yogurt cheese sticks to the bag. Not so with these cloths. I wish I had found them long ago.A heads up - When I got these I immediately hand washed them. The water turned yellowish. I was concerned about this so I contacted the manufacturer/seller. They responded within a few hours. Here's their response:"Thank you for your message and your order of the Organic Cotton Cheesecloth.The yellowish water coming out is nothing to worry about.It is harmless and completely organic.We are using a natural starch in the weaving process.The yellowish color is caused by this.We recommend warm hand wash giving it a good rinse and drying it in the sunbefore the first use.If you do not want to wash it before your first use, it is not a problem at all."

I bought this cheesecloth to make cottage cheese and it works perfect for this purpose. Also, for me it's very important that materials which contact with food are as "clean" as possible, so the fact that this cheesecloth is GOTS certified played a crucial role. I used it only once, but it seems perfect, grade is appropriate to make great cottage cheese and it looks like it will serve me for a long time. Highly recommend this cheesecloth!
