I purchased this for an important teams meeting to be held in a ballroom at a hotel. We had about 15 people gathered around. The sound was fantastic and the other parties said they could hear each of us clearly. One attendee said it was the best speakerphone type device he had ever used and ordered one for his office. I’m quite impressed with it.

I've purchased dozens of Sync 20s, 40s, and 60s and they all have their flaws but the 60 is the worst of them all...What I like:Appearance - simplistic professional approach that looks like it could fill a room with audio quality and clarity but looks are deceivingLighting - Really scraping here to find qualities I like in this Sync 60What I don't like:Audio - based on its size you would think it would project volume but that isn't the case. An Amazon DOT has louder volume and clarity and that's 70% smaller.Mandatory Poly USB Bluetooth adapter - Why? I haven't come across a Bluetooth device that will lose button functionality until purchasing any of the Sync devices. You might have paired it to your PC using Bluetooth but if you are not using Polycom's USB dongle your mute button (along with others) will loose functionality. Who programmed this? For years paired Bluetooth devices can receive firmware updates, settings and functionality can be changed but not with Polycom. Want to firmware update? Must use their Bluetooth dongle. Want to change tone or other features? Must use their Bluetooth dongle....see where I'm going. If this proprietary Bluetooth USB dongle is so incredible why is it that only 2 Poly Sync 60s or 40s can be paired at a time?Battery - Most expensive Poly Sync device doesn't have a battery. You read that right. So if you were intending on using this in a conference room be prepared to see cords and have power at multiple places on the table because otherwise no Poly Sync 60 for you.Compared to the Sync 40+ - No difference, none. The microphones are not better, the speaker isn't clearer or louder, the Poly Sync 60 is just bigger in size and demands more money to purchase.Final Thoughts:I don't know if merging with Plantronics brought the quality of Polycom down but the people that designed Polycom products in the early 2000's clearly are not part of their product lineup today. I would suggest skipping the 60 and purchasing the 40 BUT recently we have had several Poly Sync 40's brick and become unusable.After opening a case with Polycom their reason was because those devices (that have batteries) were constantly USB plugged in. Again you read that right, the smaller scale & mostly office use devices with batteries are not meant to be continuously plugged in but the sync 60 without a battery is.As these continue to fail their replacements are not with anything Poly or Plantronics in the name. There are alternatives and many at that, do your research and go with it.What happened to you Polycom?

I have been looking for a good speakerphone for our conference room, which holds about 15 people around a table approximately 30 feet long. I pair two speakers together to maximize volume and microphone and use it to connect to Zoom. I find that it is only slightly better than the poly sync 40, but the poly sync 60 does not have a battery and requires the power to be plugged in.- Pairing with your computer can be finicky and one time I had to delete the speaker and add it back again for whatever reason.- Linking the two speakers together can also be flaky, and takes a minute or a few attempts (ie. powering the speaker on and off) before the speakers link together. Also, I've had it once where the link breaks.- The buttons are touch sensitive meaning it is really easy to accidentally push a button by accident.- The microphones are not great. We end up having to move the speaker around (yes, even though we have two speakers!), which can be problematic as it is easy to accidentally push a button by accident. I would say the range is really around 4-5ft from the speaker. Anything further and the microphone sound seriously degrades. Again maybe better than the Poly Sync 40 by half a foot in distance.- The volume is decent, though surprisingly low for the size of the device. Only slightly louder than the Poly Sync 40, which is half the size.Overall, barely passable, and disappointing for the price. The HomePod has much better sound, loudness, microphone and it's less than half the price! It's too bad it's not designed to work with Zoom.

Bought it for meeitngs in large rooms with lots of partecipants. Audio is clear and easy to connect. Reccomended
