I'm an avid bicyclist. All of my bikes have presta valves and I'm sure that is a badge of honor for most bikers but I find them fiddley compared to the Schrader valves. Presta is easier to bleed air but I've done that 0 times in 30,000+ miles of riding. I'll probably get some slack from the "real" bikers but hey, I do me.

I like these for using a gas station compressor if available, with euro tire valves. Handy as valve caps too, just close the little knobs and re install.

I've had issues with previous adapters from Amazon where the threaded portion was too long and wouldn't screw down far enough on the stem to enable the Schrader head to activate the valve. These do not have that problem. I don't leave them on all the time but just keep them in my bags to use when I need to inflate my tires without a proper presta valve head. I wouldn't leave these (or any similar adapter) on full time since the valve on the presta stems isn't designed to stay securely closed without the acorn nut tightened. I prefer to know the valve is locked closed which you can't do while these are still attached. You could still store them on your valve stem if you put it back on after locking the acorn nut but I can't say if they'd come loose and fall off. Better to just keep them in the bag.

This is not a complicated part and does exactly what it's designed to do. It's aluminum and lightweight and allows me to fill presta tires with my air compressor. Just be sure to unscrew it completely when removing from the valve stem or you will pull the little rubber o-ring out. But it's pretty easy to put it back. And with 10 pieces for the same price, I now have these lying around all over the place wherever they're needed.

The adapters are too narrow to use with Presta valve. You unscrew presta valve to allow air in and you place the adaptor on the Presta valve. As you turn the adaptor clockwise on the Prestaq valve, valve spigot also turns clockwise preventing any air flow. These adaptors are not shipped with O rings which would trap air but the inner diameter of adaptors is too narrow. Look for other adaptor options.
