Yesss, finally. After trying two, three cases this one fulfils high expectations:I was looking for a well fitted interior nestling my beloved vintage Kohlert wooden Bb clarinet,a good quality zipper and a hard protective outside.Also, I am travelling quite a bit and wanted to be able to pack her easily and take her with me.In comparison to the Amazon bestseller "amoon" this bag is substantial. The much cheaper "amoon" tips over when you open it, the zipper is cheap and not easy to close, the velcro is somehow always in the way, yes it is extremely light, but also bulky compared to the "protec".Most important for me was the interior fit which was really bad with the "amoon".I had to layer a soft cloth on top of the clarinet before closing the bag to prevent the instrument parts to fall out their place :(((Only fear with the "protec": The handle is made of plastic and while it gives a sturdy, well-made impression it might be that this is the first part falling off (As another reviewer wrote). I registered the bag online with "protec" for warranty and hope "protec" will do the right thing if the time may come.

This case is very cute and very tiny. Everything critical fits! Love that it's blue. There's enough space for cork grease and an elderly Humistat humidifier, as well as some reeds in single cases. I have a Backun Fatboy and that fits just fine in the barrel slot. I put it in upside down because it fits better that way though.I purchased this case because I'm traveling soon and I'll update this review with how the case performed. It fits conveniently into my carry-on luggage and will work as the "hard bottom" to a soft duffle I got on here too. The shoulder strap is great. I've actually switched the duffle strap with the ProTech strap because it's so much better.

great fit and would protect the clarinet. it has decent storage capacity and the strap is nice. it is really really compact and the color was nice.

I have an R-13 Buffet clarinet. I bought another Protec case that was big, heavy and definitely durable. . .so durable that if my clarinet somehow ended up in the middle of a busy street, any car or truck that ran over it would not damage the instrument because of the indestructible case.But, I really didn't need something that big, heavy, or indestructible. So I looked around for something small, durable and light, and indestructible and found this wonderful Protec case. I LOVE it!!!! It is small and well-padded. I feel confident that, if I ever dropped the clarinet while in the case, it would just fine as the padding is ample and my R-13 fits the cutouts in the case perfectly. There is even a tiny bit of storage space for a reed or two and a cleaning cloth. I have a beautiful leather satchel that I put this case in, and because the case is small, it fits just fine. I don't carry a backpack but if I did, it would fit perfectly.If you're looking for a lightweight, durable case, this is it! It is moderately priced and worth every penny.

My daughter is very choosy, after we got her R13 we had to buy a case for it as it was pre-owned. We chose the black case which was a mistake, they shipped the wrong model. Returned and reordered the silver and it is beautiful. She loves she can carry it like a purse. She can put a few small extras inside it, not her reed case. She has a music bag so that works instead. I am not reviewing the durability because that takes time. It seems very durable but not as much as a Buffet case. Great price and so far great. It's a zipper case when we would have preferred the clasp.

Originally this case was bought because we found a wooden clarinet from the 70s that was in fantastic shape but the case was... not. After several attempts to get the odor and general nastiness out of the original case I gave up and went looking for a new case/replacement.This case is solidly built and SMALL. Both of these attributes are great as this is currently being used by a middle schooler going into High School. She loves being able to carry the case with the strap in a messenger bag config which leaves her hands free while heading off to school. She liked it so much in fact that we got a second one of these for her "plastic" clarinet that she travels with more.The original idea was just to have something to protect the older clarinet even if it's in the house (I am not a fan of leaving musical instruments just laying about). The fit and finish was so good on the case that it turned out to be very protective as well.
