The Starrett post hole has a 5/16" diameter and a 3/32-1/4" holding capacity. It can be used on our 252 Height Transfer Gage, 57 and 257A, and B Surface Gages, on 657A Magnetic Base and Swivel Post Assembly.

This clamp is the real deal. If you're good enough at what you're doing you should know about Starrett. It's a no brainer over cheap imitations.

High quality clamps, work fantastic, good tough coating for metal finish. I would definitely buy more if they ever fail. I doubt it though.

Well made and dependable. The knurled knob allows it to be tightened firmly to hold your measuring instruments stably. Very versatile when setting up for a measurement on the mill, the lathe, or the surface plate.
