This extension tube works as designed and is a pretty good value when compared to its competitors. However, be aware of the orientation of the compression ring. These units ship in such a way that the gap in the compression ring is directly over the screw so that the screw can go in all the way in order to fit in the enclosed plastic tube. Before you use this, it is important that you rotate the compression ring in such a way that the opening is not directly over the screw. Otherwise entire reason of adding the compression ring in the first place will be defeated and the screw could damage your eyepiece.Pros:Good extension tube for the price that works as expected.Cons:Shoddy compression ring design. There's absolutely no documentation included saying that it's important to rotate the compression ring before using it. If the enclosed plastic cases were just a little bit larger the extension tube could fit in the case without having to do this. This comes across to me as a cheap manufacturing shortcut that SVbony needs to rectify in the future.

I needed something for eyepiece projection because getting camera in focus on 4.5" Newtonian was proving to be too much trouble otherwise. This works, though you may need to experiment with eyepieces (my best results thus far are with 25mm).Some potential quirks: mind the balance and positioning of your telescope. Even with small mirrorless Canon M200, it ends up being a quite a bit of mass dangling off-center. The screw securing the eyepiece is prone to pushing the eyepiece to the side, which isn't great.

Could not insert eyepiece as the compression ring was badly deformed.

works fine for large tall/long eyepieces like 32mmfinally able to get the enormous field of view that ive wanted with my camera! and without a barlowNot suitable for small eyepieces unless your telescope has an incredible focus range
