Just in case others were wondering, this unit works fine, as advertised. Other reviews have covered that the temperature controls a relay, which just acts as a switch closure on the two output lines.Something I was wondering is what happens on an "alarm" - I was hoping for a beep or a buzzer of some kind, but what actually happens is that the unit displays three dashes, and the relay turns off (at least in cooling mode). This is the setting shown in the instructions as "alarm temperature".I also tested what happens if you turn off the power - it remembers settings from power cycle to power cycle, and it will turn on the relay if it powers up outside the range, all of which are good.I'll probably just buy a second one to use to drive an alarm beeper since I couldn't find one of these which has an actual audible alarm

Digital display is great. Resolution to 0.1 degree is great. I don't believe their accuracy is 0.1, they meant resolution.Reference temperature is easy to set.But relay never closes and "out" light never comes on.Ordering a 3rd, I like its simplicity and it has a flat back that I can stick to the panel if I ever get one that works.UPDATE, third one works OK however unsuitable so I have to return. Specifications say "For heating or cooling" but it is ONLY suitable for cooling. It cannot be used to control a heater.

The price is fantastic, I am only using it as thermometer not a TSTAT in a Delfield 3 door refrigerated merchandiser I rebuilt from R-12 to R-134a. The temperature is displayed in Celsius to the tenths, can't be set to Fahrenheit. F= 9/5 x C + 32. The old digital display would drift up and down continuosly 4 and 5 degrees, this one holds steady as the temperature rises and falls 1/10 of degree C at a time.

To set the target value you need to just touch the SET button then the target display flashes allowing the required target to be set. It was only looking for the same item from a different source I found this information. The remaining settings are accessed as suggested by HOLDING Down The SET button for several seconds then stepping through P0 to P6.

Using the temperature controllers is sketchy because they are shipped w/o any documentation. Instructions can though be found on the internet. I am not sure though if those are up to date. This was my second purchase of these. My impression is that half of the published directions do not work. I did though get out of them what I wanted. *** Saving grace is they are really cheap and that offsets much of my aggravation programming them.

I had to search for a wiring diagram because the information isn’t innate for me. Once I found the diagram, it worked a charm…so far.Designed a 12v solar powered exhaust fan for my chicken coop.
