I love the notebook, unfortunately only one of the two I bought came with a damaged cover, but these things can happen during shipping. The good thing is that I bought the “[Midori] MD notebook jacket A5†and the damage to the cover of the notebook will not be noticeable. I really love both products, and they are well worth the money.

Absolutely in love with midori products and this notebook is no exception. I have used this for a Japan travel book and it has held up beautifully with tons of ephemera, tape, stickers, pen and gel ink. It is extremely well made and the pages are honestly so smooth! I highly recommend!

I really like the paper in this. I do wish that the dots were a little darker, I have to been in good lighting to see them well. I'll most likely buy this again.

Cute but I don't believe this is a real midori product. For one, there are 2 dots that are just larger than the others. This might be a manufacturing error but another thing is that it's not like my old midori notebook. In my old journal I could write with a black pen without it ghosting but on this notebook, it shows up so much that I had to switch from my pen to a pencil. Even then, it still shows up but not as much as with a pen.

Notebook is missing the original protective cover. And the paper tag was in the wrong spot as it is supposed to be at the bottom. As well as it is missing the index stickers that are supposed to be included. The corner is also dented. Seems I was sent a used one that was sold as new.

The notebook is really nice, the size and color are perfect. Just be aware that there's a lot of ghosting for fountain pens. I used a Twsbi ECO with Irishuzuku take-sumi and a Lamy lx blue, and you can see everything through the back of the page. Not the best for me to keep a nice looking journal. If this is not a deal breaker, go for it, if it is, I would suggest a 100 GSM notebook.
