Mine came with directions that were decent I guess. The set up can be a little daunting at first but it's easy enough once you get the hang of it. A couple tips to save you some aggrivation....the speedo pickup magnets work best in a tight circle rather than spread out in a wider diameter on the brake rotor. Also, while calibrating the first perameter wants you to enter tire circumference in cm and that'll get you pretty close. I then rode with a gps speedo app on my phone to compare and was able to fine tune it by raising or lowering that tire circumference a little at a time then checking again. The tach would not work when I put it on my coil as instructed and I suspect it's because of the cdi ignition, because when I put it on the positive lead straight off the magneto it worked fine, though not accurate as it's a 2 stroke and these are only good for 4 strokes as far as the tachometer goes. Otherwise, wiring directions are on point and keep in mind, for neutral and gear indicator wires, they're looking for a negative signal not positive so if your neutral switch sends a positive signal it may need to be rewired to work properly. Everything worked great though, high beam indicator, turn signal indicators, and marker light indicator all work great, even if the speedo itself isn't powered up so it saves a little power if I only want my indicators.(I didn't wire mine to the ignition to turn on immediately, I used a toggle instead as my set up doesn't have a battery originally. All my lights were added by me and run off a 12v LiFepo4 battery so my electrical set up is a little different. It also keeps it's settings and odometer memory when the battery is disconnected which is awesome since I pull my battery to recharge when needed on a bench. I actually started with 4 stars and as I wrote this review I couldn't really think of a reason not to give it 5. I feel the speedometer pickup sensor was a little touchy at first, but once I tightened up my magnets pattern and got the sensor as close to them without touching as I could, it works perfectly fine, just takes a little trial and error to dial the calibration in perfectly. There's a couple YouTube videos on installing these, but if you know a little about wiring it's fairly easy to figure out. And the included mounting bracket was very much appreciated. All in all it was a great deal for a decent all around universal gauge with all necessary indicators, even a fuel gauge. Which will blink if not used and if you're like me this may be a minor annoyance. Run a hot to the fuel gauge wire (only if you don't have a sending unit and don't intend to use that feature anyways),but be sure it's straight from the battery with a 5a fuseable link or inline fuse holder with 5a fuse and not sharing a circuit just incase you wouldn't want this thing to blow your fuse on your taillight circuit at night, I haven't blown a fuse, just not taking the chance it might. You're welcome because if it does what mine did it should just read full all the time now and no more blinky blinky. I would recommend to anyone looking to have a functioning gauge and set of indicators for a reasonable price. It's not fancy, but it works and doesn't cost a million bucks.UPDATE 102921 I love this thing. It took a little patience and trial and error while comparing against a GPS speedo app on my phone, but I was able to get it calibrated perfectly. It didn't take long once I took the time to do it right. I entered the circumference of my tire in mm's and that got me in the ballpark, then I just would ride, see how far off and which way and change my number slightly up or down accordingly. Got it dialed in perfect within a few tries and all is tight with the universe. I like that it holds it's settings even when there's no power because I don't have a charging system, so for one, I have to pull the battery and bring it in to charge once in a while. But also, I have a main battery switch to completely cut power to everything in case I forget to turn something off and have no lights for my trip home. The speedometer always remembers my settings and had remained accurate for months, I still pull up the gps speedo app from time to time to make sure, and it's still spot on from 1 right on up to around 50 or so where I let off because huffy beach cruisers weren't built to go that fast... I'm planning another build soon, and already have this guy on my list of materials. There's a very slim chance of me not buying another, and maybe even a 3rd for my girls bike too. Speedometers all around!!!

Excellent speedometer for my Lifan KP200 Cafe Racer! I wired up a wiring harness and a custom bracket to mount this new Speedo to my bike. All functional features of the new Speedo works great!

Junk do not buy. Wiring diagram not correct and speed sensor did not work right out of box. Also seller will not do anything for you but keep asking you questions about how it was installed and then tell you to deal with Amazon exchange. Spend more and save yourself the trouble.

This unit seems to do everything it is supposed to do. The instructions are better than most that come with these types Chinese parts. They are actually helpful. A plus is that there are a couple of YouTube videos about this unit that are helpful. The electric connectors for hook up I'm sure are fine, IF you have a Chinese clone bike that you're installing this on, if not you're going spend some time replacing the connections or using "bullet" connectors. I fully expected it to be a minor ordeal to install, but since everything works as it should it is work the money and time invested.

Seemed easy at first but will not read tach signal from a compute controlled motorcycle and the fuel gauge reads backwards. Couldn't find a spot to mount the speedo sensor and it would not read the speed on a Honda st1300 For less technological bikes it will work great. I returned it for a gps speedo

Easy to install if you have some mechanical knowledge. I got the tachometer, headlight on/off indicator, neutral and 1st gear light, plus speedometer all working on a gy6 engine . Was having problems with the tachometer needle bouncing around but turned out to be interference with another high voltage wire so just repositioned the engine harness and it’s working great now ! Hope it last a long time. 40 miles/ 5 hours so far.

Esta muy bien y es de buena calidad pero tengo problemas pues reinicia los valores del diámetro de la llanta cada que apago la moto. También a partir de 6000 rpm se vuelve loco.

So the other side of the wiring clip was not included and that forced me to have to cut the clip and wire it in that way, would have been so much easier to wire it through the other half of the clip, but not really that big of a deal, not worth taking off a star. The wiring was labelled perfect on the included sheet. Programming instructions on setting it up was no problem after reading it twice and following it step by step like i was 4. Got it first try!The part that mad me take a star off: the magnets. The first time I took my bike for the first ride, both magnets fell off making it useless as a speedometer. They are too thick to pass between my disk and shock so I had to place them in an odd way. I bought more, that are smaller and stronger and they seem to work like a charm! I would have taken two stars off, however you are able to select the amount of magnets you place on the wheel so you can place up to 6 I believe. I placed 6 and it seems to pick it up really nice. So make sure you have the clearance between your shock and disk, and if you are down around the 3mm mark, consider picking up a few extra magnets. An annoyance losing the magnets the first trip out, and would suck if someone was dumb and did not test it before a long trip. Only really worth taking 1/2-1/3 star off.Fun fact, you can convert the fuel gauge into temp gauge within the settings very easily if your bike has no fuel gauge, but has temp gauge. It's within the settings menu, just select the resistance your temp sensor runs on, connect the wire and bam, fuel now = temp. Would be sweet if you could change the name on the gauge from fuel to temp, but no big deal, just a suggestion. The rest of the star I took off was because after setting everything up properly, getting the extra magnets installed and set properly in the settings, the speedometer will only pick up my proper speed while set in MPH. I am Canadian, and use KPH. I originally got the item while it was in KPH mode, did my setting while still in KPH mode. Took it for a ride and was doing around double the displayed speed. I know while my tachometer is reading 6000k my ground speed is 120kph, the displayed speed was 194KPH. Swapped it to MPH on the fly and it now reads the proper speed even though it tells me its MPH. No one but me will be riding the bike, so it really makes no difference to me unless I was going into the USA, and that wont ever happen. Also, my bike has no gear sensor and this gauge has no kickstand light/warning, so I hooked my kickstand sensor wire to the gear 1 wire on the gauge. Now when it says I'm in first gear, I know my kickstand is down, when its up the gear section is blank so it works great for me. Cant suggest doing this as I'm sure its against the recommended actions, however, if you are only sending one signal at a time, I'm sure the unit will have no issues with it. I could have hooked it to any gear I wanted displayed too, so that is awesome for me.Overall I really do like the unit, it would be nice to be able to dim the backlight as it is super bright at night but not something worth taking any star off. It was super nice I could customize the fuel and gear display and that makes things worth the money IMO. I would buy this unit again, with extra magnets depending on the bike I was installing onto. I will update if any issues arise in the future.

Installed it on a old motorcycle, 1983 Yamaha virago. Everything was completely analog before and is working perfect with this digital speedometer. Waited to make a review in order to see if it works after use, have roughly 4,500km on it no issues. As mentioned in other reviews instructions aren’t great but take your time and do some research. Works and looks great, won’t get any better for the price.Try to use existing wiring harness from old speedometer if possible to prevent cutting into motorcycle harness.Read through setup, will take minor fine tuning for rpms to read properly. Speed and rpm are almost exact compared to stock.
