Lightweight : Carbon fiber is 5 times lighter than steel (ASTM-A1008) and almost 2 times lighter than aluminum when comparing similar sized pieces.
High Strength & Stiffness : Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) has the highest specific strength and modulus (stiffness) per density compared to metal, plastic and wood.

This chopped CF is great for doing some custom forged CF. Whether you do it for the looks or the strength, both are good reasons in my mind. I used a 3d printed mold for mine, just don't forget the mold release. The results are quite nice after you've done some sanding and polishing. I would recommend.

I really love this chopped carbon fiber. It really takes resin crafts to a different level if that's what you want to use it for. Not only can you use it on crafts though, you can also use it for cars/ vehicles in general to create a forged carbon finish. Very happy with the amount that you get as you can certainly do quite a bit with it. I was able to take some trim and make a real forged carbon fiber layer on them. Really changes the look fo the trim on the car and looks unbelievable.
