What is a Rear Drive Shaft Boot ?

How to install the drive shaft boot ?
- Park the vehicle on a flat and level surface. Engage the parking brake and, if necessary, use wheel chocks to prevent the vehicle from moving.
- Open the chassis and locate the transmission shaft position.
- Find the clamps that secure the old drive shaft boot and remove it using the tool.
- Slide off the old boot and wipe the drive shaft clean with a rag to remove any dirt, grease, or debris.
- Position the new boot: slide the new boot onto the drive shaft, making sure it is properly aligned and covers the joint completely.
- Place the new clamps (usually provided with the boot kit) over the ends of the boot and use a clamp tool to tighten them securely.
- Restore the chassis and wheels.
