Good: The chains are well made; even better than some passenger car tire chains that I have seen over the years. Every other link is a chain row or bar across the tread, this gives excellent traction.Not So Good: The chains were advertised and the packaging was marked for tire size 18x9.50x8. When I installed the first side (marked unmodified in the picture); they were clearly way too big. I had to "modify" the chains by removing 6 links on each side and 1 chain row/bar to get the chains to fit somewhat.The matching tensioners were delayed, so I used a passenger car set. With some "creative" engineering, the tensioners worked to hold the chains tight. Once installed on our old riding mower, they performed fine across ice and snow.Overall, the product quality is fine, the design is great, the size too big. It is possible the packaging was tagged with the wrong size by mistake.

They seem like they would work for a steer tire but I'm not sure how they would hold up for a drive tire on hard pack snow or ice. Only time will tell.Not instructions were in the box, so if this is your first time installing chains you will have to hit the good-old Youtube to see how to install a set :)I wish they came with something to help tighten them like my other chains so that will be an added cost when you buy these.

My tire size are 20/8/8. And let me tell you. This was just plain awful. The fit is not right and there was no direction or install assistance to make the chains sit tight. I even added bungee to the chains. They just slip right around tire. Like a damn Slip and Slide. I would rate the function 5/10. Worth my money? Well let’s see if I can get a reply and let’s see what they say….
