I’m usually not a fan of what I feel like are gimmick fixes. This is not gonna replace swapping out your gear box (and I still intend to). BUT. For 9 bucks and 15 minutes this reduced the slop in my steering (2014 2500 6.7 4wd 97k) by at least half. It no longer feels out of control or takes corners loosely. Take a rubber mallet or if you don’t have one use a short block of wood and a hammer and tap them in pretty far. I had one that nearly went flush. The other Probly sticks out an 8th of an inch. I did tighten up the hose clamp. Not sure how useful it is but I’ll check after a few thousand miles and see if the bushings have backed out or not. Bottom line. If you’re reading this you Probly have some slop in your steering. Buy this.

My 2015 Ram 2500 had a tendency to wander due to play in the steering. I installed this bushing kit and the play in the steering wheel was reduced quite a bit. The bushing kit does transmit some power steering pump noise through the steering column but it's not bad. Just something to be aware of.Between this bushing kit and a steering gearbox stabilizer bracket, it's nice to have a truck that stays in it's own lane now, especially when pulling our camper!

Showed up in a small package, but made a HUGE improvement! Nothing fancy here, just some metal bushings with a taper on one end for easier installation, and a steel hose clamp to keep them in place if they happen to come loose. If you have a wandering steering problem on your Ram truck, the most common culprit is the worn bushings on the intermediate steering shaft. I have a 2012 Ram 3500 that was a handful to drive down the road due to constant correction at the steering wheel. This made the truck feel nervous going down the highway, especially when towing, and twisty roads. I had already gone through the whole front end, ball joints, steering linkage, steering box brace, aftermarket steering stabilizer, and upgraded track bar. This less than $10 fix solved my nervous steering issue. It’s like I’m driving a completely different truck. My truck currently has 97k miles, but has had this steering issue since I bought it at 70k miles. It’s a common issue I actually knew nothing about, until doing a random Ram truck parts search. The installation of these bushings is so simple! It literally took me about 5 minutes with a light hammer and a small ratchet to tighten up the hose clamp. There’s multiple videos on YouTube to show how to install these kits. Such a simple fix, yet makes a massive difference in your driving experience. If you own a Ram truck, just buy this kit, install, and enjoy the new “safe†steering feel of your truck!

This is perfect for what I needed it for. No issues with it at all, very sturdy and easy to use.

I was pleasently surprized at how easy it was to install the bushings. The only negative is I found the retaining strap was too long and I had to trim it.
