Have had no issues with so far with 2+ months of use. It seems almost as bright as the 400w bulbs in the other housing, and I actually like the light color more (more natural versus more blue)

Never turned on. Heard a broken glass sound when unwrapping but had no other fixture to try it on.

This was way bigger than expected! I thought I needed a brighter bulb, but I didn't think it was that big. Unfortunately, I don't have a big enough lamp for this, so I will just hold it until I can find a bigger lamp for it.

I tried using this with an e26 to e39 adapter in a standard aluminum clamp light, but it did not work. Metal halide bulbs are mostly used in commercial settings and my lamp was not rated for 175 watts. So, as long as you make sure your light fixtures support this bulb, you will be fine. Check out my photo for size - it's a very large bulb.

This HID bulb was defective right out of the box. Nothing visibly wrong, just would not light up. I don't believe that any of these Chinese-manufactured HID bulbs are any good. The first one I purchased only lasted a month.
