Showy, tall 5 taper candelabra is made of clear acrylic. One of the poles had hairline cracks around the screw hole. The plastic hurricanes were all round and not deformed. It is shakey if you touch it, the plastic hurricanes simply sit on the top of the candle holders - there is no band to hold them in place. I don't think this is an investment quality piece - more of a decorative item for an event like a wedding reception or anniversary party. Candles are of different heights, no two are the same height. I like the arrangement of 5 different height candles versus a similar five candleholder with only three heights.The thin plastic hurricane covers cannot be used with real flamed candles, suitable for flameless or unlit wax candles only if using the hurricane covers. Last pics have my covered candles in their holders placed on top the item’s holders .

Five ‘arm’ acrylic candelabra does not look as charming with only four candle holders. I was really looking forward to receiving this this candelabra set because it looked so elegant in the pictures. I thought it would look great as the main centerpiece on a long Holiday table, with smaller arrangements on both ends but the one we received is defective.There are two issues that are causing a problem on the same votive. Hubby-Pie could fix the first problem. The tab that extends below the votive to insert into the pole, sticks out a bit extra and at an angle, causing the votive to not fit in the pole correctly. It is almost impossible for it to sit straight. This extra little tab could probably be cut off (but not with my good knives!!), perhaps with a small saw.The other problem is that the bowl or saucer area under the same votive is ‘tweaked’, (technical term) 😊. It appears to be attached at an angle. Even if the extended tab was cut off, this irregular angle would make it just about impossible to keep whatever candle that was inserted in this particular votive vertical rather than angled. I did take several pictures of a couple of the votives upside down so you can see the extended tab as well as the angle of the saucers. It is easy to see the problems with the one that is off kilter.Just as an aside, as you can see from the pictures, this could be very attractive. There is a great deal of reflection that occurs because of the translucent ‘chimneys’ or tubes. I think I would like the candelabra better without the extra pieces if it is being used as a table centerpiece, thereby eliminating the reflection. This would allow you to better see the people sitting across from you. I think this candelabra could work nicely if the pieces were formed correctly, but mine was not.I really debated between giving this candelabra two and three stars because I think it could work well – but the one I received is useless. If I thought they were all useless I would have given it just one star.

Understandable that this does not come fully assembled, but it is a bit tedious to put together. Everything fit together well and seemed fine. Couple of notes though, the tubes are very flimsy but not like it needs to be super robust, they just might get knocked around easily. They also don’t weigh much or click into the base at all so are basically just sitting there. That aside, it looks great and recommends to only use with a LED candle. It does help to seat an LED candle with a bit of real wax as most are a bit smaller than the recommended size and wasn’t able to find a perfect fit.

I did a mock setup at home for an upcoming event and loved how this looks. I absolutely love the height of it. I like shorter centerpieces for photo purposes and this was just what I wanted. It was so easy to assemble that I never even looked at the instructions. It was quick too. It has rounded screws on the bottom, but still sits flat and sturdy.
