My daughter received a Toniebox for her 4th birthday this past October. One of the ears broke and although I had contacted Tonies (who has excellent customer service by the way) I wanted to take the chance to fix the ear.With the help of my hubby and YouTube, I was able to successfully replace the wire that had gotten pinched in my daughter's Toniebox. It's now working just as before.

For someone who isn’t a fixer, this was simple. I googled a “toniebox teardown†and then was able to understand how to replace the wires in the ears. Took about 30 min start to finish.

As others stated, this was missing the inner ear piece that holds the wires and buttons in place. I was able to reuse my original one but they shouldn't picture that piece if it's not included. The way the pcb's are cut they fit the specific ears for volume up/down. Mine were wired backwards compared to the original wires (which did break as to why I was replacing them). Simple wire swap corrected it and now it works as original. 4 stars since it works, 2 as it was not as plug and play as described for $20.

Our cat chewed through the ears of our son’s toniebox. This worked great to swap out the ears. Good as new! I followed a tutorial on YouTube to take it apart and install new ears.

Misleading pictures. It doesn’t come with the inner ear part. Otherwise fits well and works.

Our toddler loves his Toniebox so when our cats chewed up the ears it was a whole thing. These came within three days, thankfully, and once we looked up some videos were pretty easy to install. We did notice that the wire colors for the tutorials and the ones we received were backwards, now our volume up and down buttons are reversed. But that’s an easy fix if we ever get around to it haha! We were grateful for an easy replacement that was affordable after investing so much in the box originally.
