Gaffer tape certainly is not cheap, but it is good stuff. Can use it for all sorts of tasks.Sticks well enough to hold on for temporary or even semi-permanent applications, but far easier to remove than tapes with more aggressive adhesives. This is of course dependent on the particular application and surface material you adhere the tape to.Play with the gaff tape a little and understand its' properties. Then you will know where it will be appropraite to use.Live, Gaff, Love!

For context, I’m a wedding DJ and my girlfriend runs Photobooths at a variety of events. We both use this tape and this is my go to brand! The thickness is perfect to securely cover 1-2 cables. It’s also quite durable - even when stepped on it doesn’t lift or tear.I’ve used this on wood, concrete, metal, and plastic surfaces. When I remove it at the end of the night it doesn’t leave residue behind or damage the material under it. The color options are also great! I own rolls in black, gray, and 2 shades of brown. All have worked equally as well for me!

It's sticky and I like it! Wish I could get it in 4 and 6-inch widths, but 3 is working fine for holding down and marking the various cables on the floor.

This is the real deal gaff tape. It provides good adhesive attachment and releases cleanly when used PROPERLY! Many of the other negative reviews have knocked this product for it's residue. Gaff tape, even a quality brand like this, will leave a residue when you mistreat it. This isn't painters tape and it isn't duct tape. Gaff tape is meant to be temporary, as in less than one month. It's meant to provide good adhesion in a broad-ish range of environments for a film set/theater environment. If you expect this to act like painters tape or duct tape and hold things permanently or be waterproof you will be disappointed. If you work in the entertainment or events industry then you know pro-gaff. You know how expensive it is and you know that every time you try out some other brand that promises to be "just as good" you end up kicking yourself and coming back to pro-gaff. It's expensive because it's the best.Go buy painters tape for paint, go by duct tape to make a wallet or fix a duct. Buy Pro-Gaff if you're wanting to get stuff done in a work site and then take down.

I've used Pro-Gaff tape plenty of times and I don't know if this was just a bad batch or if Pro-Gaff is trying to cut corners now but the adhesion was not as sticky or strong as ones I've used in the past and the tape felt more like a plasticky feel to it instead of a cottony or fabric feel. Not happy with the quality.
