I used one of these small toroidal cores recently to wind a 49:1 UNUN broadband RF transformer for an amateur radio receive only antenna. It functioned perfectly from about 2 MHz to 30 MHz (where I stopped the NanoVNA test). If you need good performance below 2 MHz, a different core material should be selected. Good buy.

So there isn’t much to say. It’s just what you would expect if you order an FT50-43 toroid. If you have never seen one in person they may be smaller than you expect but not something that is impossible to work with. I’ve wound a couple and they do the thing. I’m using them for a very compact EFHW antenna.Let’s be honest, it’s a metal core ring, not much that can go wrong

I make 49-1 and 9-1 transformers out of these for portable qrp ham radio. They work like the big ones, just less weight and space when packing light, but at the expense of power handling. I have done ok with them at 10w, I think 20w would be pushing it.

I used them to build my own inductors.I needed 100uH and 300uH inductors, I assumed Al = 520; that gave me 15 turns and 24 turns respectively. Later I measured the inductors with a good LCR, the measured values were 112uH and 290uH; Q=40 at 100kHz.These are size 50, they are small so check before buying.

Arrived heavily wrapped, and delivered in large bubble packet. All good and nothing damaged, looked genuine. Usual biz, AM transmitters and LW reception or baulns.

Looks like someone ordered 10 took one and returned it. The tape on the bag shows evidence of being opened. I only got 9 of the 10 toroids I ordered. As they appear to be returned I hope I got the ones I ordered on not something else. How to you measure them and be sure.

I had a glitching servo.Wrapped the wire through one of these a few times...Like magic! Glitch gone!A must for any RC field kit.

The diameter is correct, but when I built an LC oscillator using this toroid it was off frequency.... It's possible my test set up was off... However I just tested other toroids and had good results... Possible that the composition is mis-labelled?
