I'll second what reviewer 'roborob' said. This tool for carrying cylinder shaped vessels is highly adjustable. And I believe it is sewn well to maximize its limitations to outdo what a strong person can carry (you and your friends strength will be weakest link). I ordered this as I've brewed for many years and find that 5 gallons of liquid (~40lbs) doesn't feel any lighter as I age. A 5g glass carboy with 40lb of wort has a gross weight over 50lb. No handles. and the sides can be slick (especially when wet) and would be a dangerous mess of glass shards if to be mishandled. Note that this tool will also fit a plastic bucket (I use a 6g as a primary fermenter).This will enables one to lower center of gravity while also having a friend share the load. Save a back, be safe, and brew on! I recommend this product.

I love the concept of this 10 gallon carry strap, but the dimensions make this a bit challenging to use easily. If the sizing was more accurate, this would be a 5-star product for sure.

i used to have a metal carboy carrier but have lost it somewhere in the basement and i NEED to get this 5 gallon jug of cider moved. this thing is AMAZING for such a simple concept they made sure everything was covered. the design is so easy to use you just slide your carboy into it and cinch it down. and the stitching looks to be fairly sturdy but i've only had a chance to use it once. you can't really beat the price, i was thinking only about my cider, and then touching up the exterior paint showed up on the "honey do" list and this will make hauling 5 gallon buckets of paint around MUCH easier..

This carboy carrier is designed for ten gallon carboys and the product description states that it will work with 8 to 12 gallon carboys, but I was easily able to adjust it fit a 7 gallon carboy, and even a 5 gallon one. With the smaller carboy, there's a bit of excess strap dangling, but it still held it very securely.There are three pieces to this set: the main harness and two handle straps. The main harness can be used by itself and has four loops. Each handle strap clips to two of the loops on the main harness. The handle straps have nice rubber handles.The straps are nice and thick and the quality is quite good.I've wanted a carboy carrier for a while now, but the ones for larger carboys are either very expensive or seem too flimsy to last. This one is nicely priced for the quality.
