We bought this to make toy embedded soap bars. I weighed the blocks (I bought 10lb, so received two 5lb bags, well packaged) and they are exactly 5lbs each.This soap base was easy to work with. Soap base was clear upon melting in the microwave. My kids added colors and scents, poured into soap molds with plastic toys. It was easy to use even for first timers like us. Highly recommend it.Quality of soap. My daughter used the soap and says it lathers well, doesn't melt fast.Soap cut easily with kitchen knife - soap base block was at room temperature. It didn't have strong smell. When we scented, it took on the scent well. It took color very well. Over all, very pleased with the product. Will buy again.

I have a soap making business and I use only Velona soap bases. The soap is high quality, holds scent and colors well, and creates a great lather. Gentle on skin and makes a beautiful bar of soap. The price is somewhat expensive, but worth it. I highly recommend it. It is a fine product and I will continue to purchase it.

Absolutely love the product. I am a beginner soap-making and making it with my 4 year old and 8 year old. In the past months, I already bought their 10lb ultraclear soap twice. The soap arrived fast and is more than 10 lb each time. The color is wonderfully ultra clear--as the name suggested. The soap has a low-melting-point, meaning that it melts easily. It stays as liquid much longer than other products that I have used. This gives me and my two young children plenty of time to work. It melt mica colorants very well. When it solidifies, it is hard and can last for a long time through many washes. Overall, very happy with the product. The pictures show what the kids and I made.

The ultra clear soap base is the one on the right. The left one is an aloe vera base. I’m not really understanding why the ultra clear is sold as clear because it just isn’t. I’m still going to use it, but not for anything that I need to be ultra clear . I’m kind of disappointed. Edit:I'm changing my review. The Velona company saw my problem with the soap base I ordered from them, and then did everything in their power to make it right for me. It means a lot to me when a company goes out of their way for you. I will most definitely give their ultra clear soap base another try.

normally i love the product but i must have ordered it from a different seller this time. it came in a much smaller box then usual so i put it on my scale. it doesnt weigh 10 pounds as advertised. being off doesnt seem like much but when you run a business being off hurts you. i will make sure in the future i do not purchase from this source if they short you soap. not good practices.

I use this to make soap and all of my customers have ranted and raved about how moisturizing this is, despite the fact that glycerin soaps are typically less moisturizing than cold process soaps. I myself love that the product doesn't sweat and is also ultra clear as the name implies. Excellent product!
