These are great for a variety of garden applications where you don't want a full height post sticking up. The metal is more than heavy enough for a post of this length, the anchor plate is well attached and the finish is good. there are plenty of hooks and holes for attachment. Remember that the height above ground is only a little over 2 feet when inserted to the top of the anchor plate.

I measured a post at 34 1/8" instead of 36". The width is 1 1/8" and the width where it fans out is 3 7/16" wide. They do look very much like a typical post you might find in a hardware store. I compared it to an existing post I had to look at the thickness of the metal itself. Granted, one of mine was 4' instead of 3', but I did notice the metal on mine was slightly thicker (hardly noticeable) than these.The most important observation came when I hammered it in. The structural strength along the length of the post was plenty strong for hammering it in, although the top of the post does get mangled somewhat when you use a hammer. It still works, but it may be worth having a block of wood or something to sit between the hammer and the post. Otherwise, you may be able to use a t-post hammerer.The pricing is also competitive with similar products as well at about $4/post, so it's a decent value for what you pay. I also like how the it was well coated. I didn't see a bunch of rust-exposure points. Only, when you start hammering them does it start to remove the protective finish.
