No more trying to get small pieces of debris off the skimmer. Just pull the sock out and throw it away. These socks are perfect during the early days of the season in New England as it catches all the pollen.

These are really helpful in the skimmer, they gather all the things that normally get in your pump or filter. My media balls are much cleaner since I started using these. Worth it. Super easy to use too.

I was expecting something to throw away after every use, like a coffee filter, and it's thin/stretchy sock material, but extremely durable.I'm a month in and still using the first sock.I also use a poker/hook on a stick to lift lid and basket out because, critters including snakes are in there sometimes and I just can't lol... but the hook pokes through the sock when I lift the basket out all the time and yet the sock hasn't split/run.So great quality. Pleasantly surprised especially for one of the cheaper sock packs on amazon.I do see a lot of small pieces of leaves and such clinging to the sock when I flip the basket upside down and bang the basket edge on the edge of the fence so all the gunk goes on the other side out of sight, so there's a lot of small particle that remains, but it isn't a huge deal at all.The sock is so breathable it really allows for water flow, in fact I'd say far more than the basket if just stopped up with pine needles and leaves and things. Here's why: it is small, a tight fit around the edge of the standard basket so it stays on, but the whole thing is kinda small so the same amount of debris that would stop up the bottom of a basket will instead be confined to the middle of the basket with the sock in it, allowing water to go through the sock on the sides near the top and down the drain. If that didn't make sense just "trust me bro" it doesn't stop up the water it actually makes it flow better for longer with the same or more gunk in the filter, and your jets are strong like ox... or zangief.Will definitely buy again. If I ever need to lol
