This is a set of two black plastic potentiometer knobs, in the classic "chickenhead" pointer design. These knobs include a set screw and are intended for use on shafts that have a flattened area for best results. You may need to file a flat are into a knurled shaft (such as our audio pots) to get the tightest/firmest grip. These knobs will fit either a .25" or a 6mm shaft. Please refer to the size diagram to the right for size reference (all measurements are in millimeters, with inches in parentheses). These knobs are manufactured by Eagle Plastic Devices. Please note that the coins and cigar box detail in the photo are for reference only; this product offer includes only two of the pictured knobs. These knobs look great on cigar box guitars, amps, and other homemade instrument creations!

Having used them a bit I like how easy it is to feel where your knob is at. You can be looking at the scope or whatever and know by it's shape where you are at on the dial. I used mine on a radio project.

Nice construction knob however the hole diameter is for a 6mm (0.236") diameter shaft only. It will not fit on a true 1/4" diameter (6.35 mm diameter) shaft

Only needed ONE for my box fan but this set of TEN was cheaper than buying ONE from anyone else!

The internals are undersized by .010" and will need to be drilled out to fit a 0.250" shaft. I used a 1/4" mill bit then finished with a .0015 oversized reamer. After that they worked fine.Note: shipped with (not inside) a ziplock baggie. 3 of the set screws came out and were in the shipping bag. Check all the knobs before throwing the shipping bag away.

I bought these 6mm knurled Shaft 12Pin 1 Pole 11-Position Selectable Band Rotary Switch 6 Pcs but the shafts are very hard to turn so these large knobs were needed and work fine.

Yeah they are a good size and sturdy. Check the bag for screws that may have fallen out.

I bought these (10 pack) because I needed one to replace the selector knob on a vintage RivalTitan heater, which has a ¼" stem. The product description shows the opening to be ¼", but that is not accurate. I had to drill it out to make it fit. Don't remember what size, but my next smaller drill bit fit it perfectly.NOTE: the set screw is NOT an Allen or Torx, it is an old fashioned slotted screw, requiring a very tiny (2.5-3mm?) tweaker to tighten it. This also limits the amount of torque you can use to tighten it.... and there's so many of 'em! Now I've got a lifetime supply of these widgets.
