My campus does not provide calculators for on level science classes. I had a hodgepodge of 5 different kinds of calculators for my classroom and not enough for every student to have one. When giving instructions for complicated chemistry problems, it really helps if you can give everybody the same directions for how to enter the problems into the calculator. I was able to get a class set 5 years ago through Donors Choose, but those calculators are starting to die off after years of heavy usage. These calculators have the exact same layout as the Casio fx-300MS so I could buy just one set of 10 to augment my supply. They were a great bargain. Teachers shouldn't have to buy calculators for their classrooms, but since this is the realitiy of the situation, I'm glad to have a solution. I really like that these are battery operated with very inexpensive button batteries because the solar panels on my Casios have become degraded over time and don't work as well.

I ordered 2 sets of these calculators to be used in my classroom during summer school into the regular school year. The batteries started dying which meant I needed to buy replacement batteries. The replacement batteries listed in the item description do not fit as they are more narrow than the original batteries.

Wow! The price was great. I was able to give calculators to 3 different families. The price was great. I almost didn't purchase them. I am glad I did.

I bought these for the students who didn’t have scientific calculators. They take some getting use to but work well and are sturdy. I wish the were solar powered but so far the batteries are holding up.

It was just enough for my students to use in their exams. Its size was just perfect and the students never complained about it. I myself tried it out and the buttons were easy to use and I was able to check out the different functions

Love these calculators! My students prefer these calculators over the others we have in class. A little bigger buttons and able to see the equation as you type it in.
