We have 38 hens.... I don't know why we have 38 hens - there are only 2 families of 2 eating eggs.... so, we give them away at church, at work, at the food bank.... We used to ask people to give us empty cartons, as the local store charges 75 cents a piece..... some folks did, but soon forgot. So, I hate to give away eggs and also have to BUY the box to give them away in.I was never so pleased to find these cartons - very inexpensive - good and sturdy. They handle the average eggs just fine..... oversized eggs and double yolks don't fit too good.... but they are the exception, not the rule. Only problem I found is, if they get squshed down too much, the closure tabs stick, and when you pull them apart, the tabs turn inside out and then won't lock when you close the lid. That's only happened maybe 1 out of 15 cartons.... not a real issue at all.

These are the flimsiest not useful egg cartons I have ever seen you have to use three rubber bands on them to help keep them closed. Do not buy.
