The handle size and blade is bigger than the one I've been using. It works out great since I can use the side of the blade to pick up the cut pieces. Every blade is separately sealed in their own sterile package. Metal seems durable and will probably be my go-to tool.

These scalpels were a great deal for the purchase price, and they fit my scalpel handles perfectly. I ordered them for my biology class for dissections, and at this price, I can change blades more frequently. Also, getting the free handle was an added benefit. I recommend this product for any teacher that needs to purchase scalpel blades in quantity.

These make it very easy to have a sterile scapel every time instead of having to heat it to sterilize. These just make things quick and convenient

Bought for anatomy class. Arrived quickly and included exactly what it says on the tin. Blades fit the included handle and other class provided handles nicely. If I ever needed another box, I’d get these!

Blades are as dull as a butter knife and very poor steel. Even with a big box they all cut terribly even on the first cut. So far from sharp I threw them all away after trying about 20 of them. Handle is fine and snug blade fit. Save your money and get some good blades.

Picked this up because I thought it would be a nice alternative to an X-Acto knife. Seemed okay at first but since scalpels are supposed to be the gold standard of sharpness, I thought it wasn't quite as good as I was expecting. Did the paper test like I would do with my pocket knives after sharpening, and it failed pretty miserably. It's sharpish, and you can occasionally get a good cut on paper, but you can also catch it and tear the paper. Seems about as sharp as one of my knives sharpened to maybe 800 grit. Doing the same test on the same type of paper with a pocket knife I can get consistent thin ribbons of paper cut off, and these scalpel blades are nowhere _near_ that sharp.So if you're expecting sharpness, look elsewhere.

It's strongly magnetic so that's not stainless steel. The blade is not wobbly but not straight and don't go deep enough so I'm scared they will fall off easily (see pictures). The blades are sharp.
