I am thrilled with this pad - seriouslyI decided to give this a try under a light weight runner we have in a high traffic area. We have had a honeycomb style pad under it, but that didn't have enough traction probably because it was cut to only 2*8. It is also not waterproof. I decided to try this mat and could not be happier. It is not so thick that I can notice it, it has absolutely no slip.I decided to test the waterproof claim, and can confirm that moisture does not make it through pad itself. It has a felt topping on top of the rubber. The fluid gets absorbed by and speads across the felt. It will still need to be washed if the stain is not just water.I am very happy about this product and expect that I will be using this type of no-slip rug mat from now on,

I am in the process of purchasing new rugs as part of my upstairs renovations. This summer I'll be taking out the old full floor carpeting and installing nice looking vinyl plank flooring. Thin rugs on smooth flooring are always a risk for slipping. One of the most recommended solutions to keep those rugs stable is to use felt pads under the carpets. Felt pads tend to grip the carpet nicely to keep it in place and also provide a little extra padding for the thinner carpets that I will be using.I'm currently using some of those new rugs to cover up worm spots on my current 25 year old carpets. In particular I have a long 3 foot by 10 foot runner rug leading into my kitchen hurry up on top of the old carpet. This runner rug tends to drift about 4 inches per day to the east just due to normal walking back and forth. This drift is due to the fibers in the carpet mostly leaving in an easterly direction, which moves the rug slightly every time you walk on it.I was hoping this felt pad under that runner rug would stop or slow down that daily drift. It does seem to slow down the drift slightly so that it only moves two to three inches per day! However I am sure it will do much better keeping the rugs in place on the new plank flooring later this year.

I basically only have washable rugs in my house. We don't have kids, but we do have 5 pets (four cats and one very badly behaved puppy). We are forever finding "accidents" in the house (read, I don't want to go out because it's too hot, or too cold, or too wet, or too sunny, or too dark...) I've been a little stressed about my hardwoods but this carpet pad fixes that! It has a nice feel to it underfoot and you can cut it to fit your rug. I had to take a couple inches off each side to fit my foyer rug. I used those pieces to hold under the kitchen faucet to test the water proofing...totally water proof! I'm still going to need to wash the rugs, and the pad didn't come with any direction on washing it, but I would think it would not wash up well being felt. It is a great price point, though, so I'll just replace it if the pup decides to keep up her stubborn attitude.

A little thinner than I would like, but it's very nice quality felt with decent gripping surface on the bottom. I ordered this for an unusual purpose: Charentais slipper bottoms. These traditional French slippers are made from thick felt and carpet or upholstery scraps. By gluing three layers of this padding together, I can recreate the sole of a Charentais slipper and I have plenty of upholstery to create the upper. I would rather have only had to glue two layers together, but my work around is fine. This option is much cheaper than buying the felt outright. There was almost no smell to this padding when I opened it, and after letting it air out for a few hours, there is no smell at all. Very happy with this product!

We have a 2x3 foot rug in our kitchen and it constantly was getting shoved around by our cat, son, Roomba - you name it. We got this carpet pad and have been extremely happy with it. You can't tell it's there- it's thin and fits perfect underneath the rug without peaking out. At the same time, the rug is extremely secure and doesn't move an inch unless we peel it off the floor. We have not been able to test the waterproof claim, but so far we are happy with it and it has worked perfectly for our household.

This pad offered a nice extra bit of softness to our new area rug that has a very low pile. The pas it self is not very thick but offers a nice cushion to your step on the rug. I like the fact that the pad protect my hard wood floor too. The pad is soft and light weight and has a rubber gripping on the bottom to keep it in place so it wont move nor will the rug on top. Great product1

This is great for under a washable rug. It is very thin, and I would love it more if it was a bit thicker. I do love that it is waterproof and protects the floor underneath.

This wasn’t as depicted. It is very thin you can’t even feel it under the carpet.
