It does what many 1000w inverters can't.You can run a 6000btu wall ACIt has a low rating here for some reason but my experience owning many inverters is most do not even come close to the stated Output. This one does. - Harry

This is a really great inverter. It is strong and very stabile. It delivers 120V steadily until the battery voltage drops below 24V, and that is to be expected. I put in under load at a little under 1000W (985W), and it did it for over an hour with no problem. The fans kicked on and did not stop the entire time. They are a little loud, but at no time did the inverter get hot.Why did I give it 3 stars? Because the description on the inverter size is misleading. It is over an inch longer than what the description stated. That one inch was too much and I could no install it into the only space I had. I have just enough space for a 10.5 inch long inverter with enough space for adequate cooling. The description stated 10.5".If you have the room, this is a very good inverter. The display is great, the performance is impressive, and it looks really nice. I think it is a great value for the price, and it deserves 5 stars, but gets 3 because of misleading information.
