How to Use
- Insert the cotter pin into the hole of the bolt until the head of the pin rests against the bolt. Secure the cotter pin by spreading the prongs in opposite directions, using pliers if desired. Use diagonal cutters to cut excess length from either prong according to your needs. Cutting the prongs to the correct length helps when it is time to replace the pin. However, the prongs must be long enough to prevent the pin from slipping back out through the bolt.

While changing calipers on a Ford 2001 Expedition, I broke one of the old clips, well its a 20+ year old SUV. Got this assortment so I would not have to be searching for the perfect fit. These are great, sturdy, and bend well. Recommended.

You'd have to be really dedicated to screw up a Cotter Pin.That being said, the pins are fine.Exactly what I expected.Just don't think you've been ripped off when you open the package. Because of the low quality case, the pins have merged together during transit. Best advise is to spend a few minutes separating them and either bind them with a rubber band or a small zip bag like used with the smaller pins in the package.Pin rating 5 starsCase rating 2 starsI rounded up the average since I wasn't really counting on the case being a quality item and the issue is easily resolved.

these will take a bit more effort to bend the tabs around the fasteners as they are stainless steel. not as easy as mild steel.i don't expect them to rust so that's a good thing.one thing i wish was that a few came with a larger head to accommodate larger holes.
