They work, but they are all-plastic construction. Better, smoother, stronger, larger-gap types of this product include stainless steel springs. These are inexpensive, not bad, but I would recommend spending a little more for a better overall product.

I don’t know what situation these are suitable for, but didn’t work for me. I need the spring function to actually have some snug-ness to keep a bag closed until I release it.

20/100 were broken on arrival. Others fell apart while trying to use them. They are easy to use, but not durable. I do not recommend these.
